If you picked up the Drew Estate Early Access 2 Pac and couldn’t stop thinking about “Fire” — this is it. Undercrown El Tigre Dominicano is the cigar that was hiding in that mystery kit, and now it’s here in full production. Drew Estate debuted it at PCA 2026 as the newest addition to the Undercrown family, and it’s unlike anything that’s carried the Undercrown band before. Rather than leaning on Nicaragua, Jonathan Drew Sann pushed the filler-forward concept into the Dominican Republic — building the core of this blend around a pairing of Dominican HVA and Criollo ’98 leaves, chosen specifically for their aromatic depth and complex transitions.
That Dominican foundation is wrapped in a silky Ecuadorian Sumatra leaf over the same Connecticut Corojo H99 Hybrid binder that made the Liga Privada H99 one of the most talked-about cigars in years — stalk-cut, extra-fermented, and unlike anything else in the wrapper game. The soft box-pressed 6×50 Toro is the sweet spot of the lineup, giving the blend enough length to fully evolve through three distinct thirds of silky spice, white pepper, roasted espresso, and a rich earthy foundation that builds clean and finishes long. Jonathan Drew smokes these daily now. That says everything.
