Don’t let the size fool you. The Príncipe is the smallest cigar in the Padrón 1964 Anniversary lineup, but it’s carrying the same four-year-aged Nicaraguan puro blend that has earned more 90+ ratings than any other cigar line in the world. At 4.5×46, it’s a petite corona that runs around 40 to 60 minutes — the 1964 for when you want something extraordinary but don’t have an afternoon to give it. Grown on Padrón family farms, aged four full years, box-pressed and double-banded with an individually numbered guarantee label, then rolled with the same immaculate construction standards that define everything the 1964 Anniversary Series has ever produced.
The narrower 46 ring gauge brings the sun-grown Habano wrapper’s character front and center from the very first draw, delivering coffee bean, hazelnut, cedar, cocoa, and a refined spice that builds quickly and hits clean through to a long, smooth finish. This is the cigar you grab before a meeting, on a lunch break, or any time life isn’t giving you enough time to smoke something great. Padrón found a way to fit greatness into 45 or so minutes. Cigars Daily Nation, keep a few of these on deck at all times.

Smooth from start to finish. Creamy smoke with a slight mineral quality about it. A little pepper on the retro and that rich aged tobacco flavor that you expect from Padrón. Notes of cocoa throughout, while a little sweetness kept teasing my palate. Cedar notes did kick up through the second half. This one you will want to burn all the way down to the nub. More mellow than it’s maduro sibling, but equally as enjoyable.
