Camacho Broadleaf Robusto (5×50)

I ordered 3 of these and all 3 had burn issues but the flavor was enjoyable. Lots of chocolate and a good amount of pepper.

Very good cigar. I loved the diverse flavors it has throughout. Mix of leather, chocolate, earthy/woody notes with a slight bit of pepper or spice. I would recommend to someone who wants to try a cigar with a good balance of sweet and pepper/spice . Only down side was the burn, many touch ups needed

These were advertised as a chocolate bomb and they delivered. The chocolate notes came through nicely. The burn and construction were good. Definitely recommend.

I’ve ordered two of these now. The first one had great flavor, but the draw and burn were the worst I’ve ever had on any cigar. This second one is still lacking in the draw. You have to puff strongly and sometimes 2-3 times to get a mouthful of smoke. The burn isn’t canoeing, but it’s rigid and rough. The cigar feels hot on my hand as I smoke it, but if you’re not constantly puffing at it, it tries to go out. The flavor is the one thing going for it. It’s got a warm spice and chocolate flavor with a chocolate aroma. Flavor wise, this is one of the most unique and flavorful cigars I’ve ever experienced. I’ve not tried anything else quite like it and I think for the taste alone it’s worth trying. It’s not a perfect cigar, but the taste of it makes it worth smoking on occasion.

My first one, I didn’t think too much of it, but by the 4th one I realized it’s a new favorite for me. This cigar has great flavor. I’m glad I bought a box.

Great burn, great draw, great flavor. Leather with a sweetness throughout. A small amount of spice in the background.

This is a good stick. I didn't pick up quite as much chocolate flavor notes as Tim said it was. But it did come through in the second third. Had a few burn issues. Had to touch it up several times. Other than that the burn was great. Got flavor notes of almonds , chocolate, and a hinta cinnamon. Overall, I found this a medium strength cigar. Will keep some of these in my humidor.

I am reviewing the Camacho Broadleaf Robusto as I am currently working my way down the first third. Right off the bat I’m trying to figure out the extremely bitter flavor that is literally taking over the inside of my entire mouth. It seems to be coming from the wrapper. Not sure if it’s the leaf itself or perhaps the glue substance that was used to keep the wrapper intact. Wow. It’s literally like chewing on the rind of a lemon. The flavor of the smoke is sharp but doesn’t seem to have an association with the bitterness coming from the wrapper. Aside from my initial observations, the cigar seems to be constructed nicely and I love the look of the band. The draw is not great though and at this early stage and I’m having to relight frequently. I am also noticing two perfectly centered air holes right down the middle of the ash which reminds me of machine-made cigars. Will be back in a bit with more… Okay… halfway down the stick now. The bitterness has calmed down but is still present. There have been many relights. It definitely feels medium to full strength and I’m mostly getting a wood flavor. The smoke output has improved, although I am finding my lips pinching down on the nub pretty tightly in order to gather more of a solid draw. I am almost down to the last third. I’m now picking up on mild caramel and coffee tones, which is nice in this later stage of the cigar. It seems that the wrapper and binder are burning pretty well together, but the filler has been struggling. Finally, as I am approaching the final inch and a half left, the cigar seems to be performing at its best. And yes, the bitterness in my mouth is almost completely gone at this point which is relieving. I will have to try a few more of these in the next week to see if the experiences are the same as this first one.
