Crowned Heads has a track record at My Father Cigars that most brands would kill for. Las Calaveras. Tennessee Waltz. La Imperiosa. Jericho Hill. Every one of them a blend that earned its place in the conversation about what Crowned Heads and the García family can do together. Moonflower is the first time in over a decade that Jon Huber has gone back to that factory for an entirely new regular production line, and the Robusto is where most people will start.
The double binder is the construction decision worth paying attention to in this 5×52. Estelí and Jalapa tobacco working together in the binder position means the burn is deliberately controlled and slow, which in a shorter vitola translates to a more concentrated delivery of everything the Namanji-grown Corojo wrapper and three-region Nicaraguan filler are producing. White pepper leads the charge in the first third, then the profile opens into cedar, cream, and toasted nuts, with that signature clean finish that sets Moonflower apart from most Nicaraguan puros in its strength range. Forty-five minutes of a blend that took ten years of the right partnership to make possible. Twenty-one to a cabinet box.
