The Firecracker series has been going since 2007, and the partnership between United Cigars and Arnold André is the longest-running collaboration in the entire series. Arnold André is a German-based company that has been making cigars for over 200 years and has operated its Dominican factory, Arnold André Dominicana S.R.L., for fifteen years. That kind of institutional experience shows up in the construction of this 3.5×50, which Oliver Nivaud and the Arnold André team spent considerable time together in the factory developing.

The blend pairs Dominican and Nicaraguan ligero fillers under a Dominican binder and a Mexican Habano wrapper, producing a medium-full profile that opens with floral notes and wheat, then pushes into baking spice and a piquant, complex finish that rewards a slow burn on something this compact. Packaged in collectible tins of 12 with “Land of the Free” and “Home of the Brave” stamped on the sides, and yes, the tin flips over into a personal ashtray when the cigars are gone.
