Cameroon seed grown in Honduras sounds like it should not work as well as it does. The original African leaf has a reputation that precedes it: that distinctive sweetness, that slightly spicy, almost tea-like character that no other wrapper in the world quite replicates. What Julio Eiroa figured out on his Jamastrán Valley farm is that Honduran soil and climate do something genuinely interesting to Cameroon seed, producing a leaf with all the hallmark sweetness and complexity of its African ancestor but with a Honduran earthiness underneath that makes it its own thing entirely.
In this 4.5×60 Gorbusto, that wrapper drives a medium-bodied profile loaded with roasted tea, cinnamon, natural sweetness, nuttiness, and a gentle black pepper finish that keeps every puff interesting without ever getting aggressive. Slow burning, beautifully constructed, and approachable enough to hand to anyone in your circle without a lengthy explanation. The most crowd-friendly of the three Camp Aladino expressions, and not by a small margin.
