Perdomo Lot 23 Maduro Toro (6×50)

I was just was turned on to the lot 23s . Very nice cigar . And once again cigars daily is my go too smoke shop!!

Absolutely loved this one. First tried it in a sampler pack, it was good enough to buy a whole box. Perdomo never disappoints!

Found this cigar on the mellow side for a maduro. Very smooth with notes of coffee and espresso. When I’m in the mood for a smooth mellow cigar this is my go to.

One of my favorites, always decent burn and draw

Perdomo Lot 23 Maduro 6x50 Toro Flavor profile: Medium with medium/mild smoke. Construction: Very solid with no give. The wrapper stayed intact throughout, no flaking or unwrapping. It has a very dark brown color. Nose: Sharp tobacco and dark chocolate. Cold draw: Leather, horse stables, on the lips - some earth mixed with horse manure. Pleasant. First 1/3: Solid construction, feels firm in the hand. Medium strength cigar with medium to light intensity smoke. Flavor of tobacco, light leather, dry hay, horse stables. The smoke feels cool. Ash is holding nicely, burns evenly. It has a very defined and pleasant taste. Retro: Retrohaling feels like sniffing tobacco coating the nostrils producing the same effect and feeling as in sniffing the actual tobacco - refreshing, invigorating, giving that desired rush. Very manageable effect which diminishes in intensity with repetition. I found it desirable to retrohale throughout the smoking experience of this cigar because the produced effect complements the smoke flavor so well. Second 1/3: Tight draw. The tobacco flavor is gone. Leather and horse manure flavors intensified. Retro developed dry grass flavor. Burns even. The wrapper leaves a nice tree bark flavor on the lips. Toward the end some earth flavor surfaced. I am enjoying it. Last 1/3: The flavors of leather, horse saddle, earth mixed with horse manure - similar to an outdoor horse training arena. Some pleasant hay flavor at the very end. Overall: This is not a morning cigar. It will keep you on your toes. No bitterness, no pepper, no biting, no spice, no sourness, yet the flavor is defined, always present, engaging. Reminiscent of a horse farm. Pairing: Goes well with Turkey 101 whiskey and also with unsweetened black tea. Bumbu Rum is too sweet and aromatic for this cigar.

Tonight I’m smoking the Perdomo lot 23 Maduro. The picture shows a brown band mine came with a shinny blue trim band however. It feels solid, tight rolled and heavy. A little lumpy and bumpy with some thick veins. The draw is slightly tight. Right off the light, there’s a nasty black pepper punch on the retrohale, with a toast flavor follow through on the palate. It’s defiantly not a toothy wrapper. Into the first third I’m getting a coco, coffee and some wood notes. The coffee seems to come through in the retrohale with the pepper. Medium body so far. The pepper does settle down. Ash is falling off at about one inch, even burn line. I’ve paired this with a black coffee. I almost want to say chocolate but it’s not sweet, so I will have to leave it at coco. Rounding second base, not much transitioning, still building off the first thirds profile. I had this one in the 69% humidor for about two weeks. Good smoke output. The strength is medium low. It seems to be a short finish. Pretty good construction, I’m into the second third with the burn line still even. Theres a very slight creaminess, still lots of pepper no spice. That coffee is holding in there nicely. The smoke is a little sharp in the back of the throat, I did cough a couple times. Nice aroma coming off of it. There’s some leather coming through the draw now. The flavors that it does give off seem balanced to one another. Rounding third base, still smooth leather, coffee, pepper, and coco. For $7 I don’t think you can go wrong with this cigar. The retrohale has gotten a lot smoother than when I lit it up. It does seem to be giving off chocolate more than coco just slightly. It’s an enjoyable cigar, nothing really to complain about. Maybe a little toasted nuttiness towards the end. Pretty consistent profile throughout. I’m going to score this at 88 points.

Really enjoyed this rich smoke. Tons of flavor but not overpowering. Will be one of my go-to smokes from now on.

Good construction with nice flavors. No touchups & corrected itself. Not complex but the flavors I got were very nice. Definitely a place in my humidor.

Tasted bitter chocolate and straw on the cold draw. Nothing too crazy, to report… It was a medium body cigar at best, not a strong or full body cigar like I thought it would’ve been with the darker wrapper… Had to touch it up once, and it turned off on me twice… Overall was an OK cigar, would I buy it again probably not… My final smoking time was 1:26 , I do have to say the presentation was good and construction was OK

I’m new to cigars , I bought one of these in a Churchill size on a wim in showlow az . I’ve tried many different stogies really liking this one
