Summary

The Perdomo Habano Bourbon Barrel Aged Maduro is a masterclass in depth and refinement, handcrafted in Estelรญ, Nicaragua by Nick Perdomo and his expert team. This blend showcases Perdomoโ€™s unique approach to agingโ€”tobaccos that have been carefully matured in bourbon barrels to achieve unmatched richness, smoothness, and complexity.

The dark Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper has been aged for six years, then finished in bourbon barrels to draw out subtle caramelized sweetness and velvety texture. Beneath it lies a Nicaraguan binder and long-fillers from Jalapa, Condega, and Estelรญโ€”each region contributing a distinct layer of flavor and aroma.

From the first draw, the Maduro delivers bold notes of dark chocolate, espresso, oak, and molasses, accented by a whisper of bourbon sweetness and lingering spice. Medium to full in body, the smoke is dense, creamy, and perfectly balancedโ€”offering the strength of Nicaraguan tobacco with a smooth, bourbon-kissed finish.

Beautifully constructed and consistent to the core, the Perdomo Habano Bourbon Barrel Aged Maduro is a go-to choice for anyone seeking richness, refinement, and a touch of indulgence in every puff.

This cigar started my PERDOMO obsession years ago and still has a special home in the humidor with the rest of the PERDOMO Maduros ! One thing about PERDOMO is consistency consistency. A medium smoke for me hints cocoa and coffee and slight nuttiness. Great draw and even burn. Seems to show a nice rich white ash. Love PERDOMO!

Was not my cup of tea. A bit too bitter for my taste.

I tend to gravitate towards medium/bold/strong but I am impressed with this Perdomo. I don't get molasses but I get a chalky feel with a note that reminds me of slightly chard caramel. The toasted buttery sugar note is reminiscent of flambe ((brown sugar, butter lit alcohol), and Brulee. Chicory is another note I get. Retro is shockingly spicy compared to the mouth feel and flavor. I like it. It's a solid medium with a lovely after taste that builds up into the final 3rd. I imagine this would pair well with a Spanish coffee, to any coffee.
