Description

From the website of Padron Cigars, "The Damaso line of cigars is for those who seek the quality and consistancy of padronย in a milder taste profile. The cigar was named in honor of Jose O Padron's Grandfather Damaso, who was the first Padron to arrive in Cuba from the Canaryย Islands sometime in the 1800's. 'Islenos', or Canary Islanders, were serious people who kept their word and tended to work in farming. In this tradition, the Damason tended to keep their word. In this tradition, Damaso rented a small piece of land in Pinar del Rio and started growing tobacco, giving the Padron family their start in tobacco."

Summary

Made by arguably the most reputable family in the history of cigars, the Damaso offers a light bodied blend to aficionados who love Padron and want something a little lighter. This blend comes with a creamy smooth Connecticut wrapper that houses Padron's characteristically excellent Nicaraguan binders and fillers.

Great construction on this one, burn and draw were perfect. Enjoyed the smooth flavor with just a little pepper on it. Will buy more.

Definitely not your run of the mill Connecticut. Smooth smoke with just enough kick. One of the select few Connecticuts that I enjoy to smoke.

Great stick! Amazing flavor and thick white clouds throughout. Started out a little peppery but it mellowed into cedar and a little leather. Put a toothpick in the nub and smoked it all the way down. Did not want this great stick to end.

Not your average CT, but what would you expect from Padron? This cigar is full of flavor - I get nuts, leather, cedar, and some fruity and black pepper notes. Complex and changing as you smoke it. This is one awesome cigar, not completely full bodied like other Padrons but even if you like those full bodied cigars you'll like this, and even if you're a beginner who likes more mild smokes, this is still a very enjoyable cigar that might introduce you to what cigars have to offer that aren't your standard, run of the mill, cream flavored CT (which are good in their own right, but something like this will show you what else there is to offer)
