Description

"A balance of art and science, Macanudo Inspirado Black is part inspiration and part experimentation. Using a new, innovative process, our Connecticut Broadleaf plants underwent special cultural practices, leaving the leaves to ripen on the stalk. Featuring proprietary seeds grown inย Estelรญ, itโ€™s a uniquely fermented blend that produces the utmost in strength and flavor. The result is a beautiful balance of bold, peppery notes intertwined with a subtleย undertoneย of sweet earth." From the website of Macanudo.

This is one of the worst cigars that I have had recently. The draw was horrendous pretty much unable to even smoke it. I didn't even finish it got mad and threw it out, it also had almost no flavor just slight leather. I was expecting much more given the description of it. I'm very tired of paying money and getting bad quality, these makers really need to check there cigars. Definitely will not buy again!!!

Coffee and nuts! Those were the notes that I got, through the entire smoke. Got a little bitter toward the end but I thoroughly enjoyed it, all the way. Construction and burn were fantastic, as well.

Cigar: Macanudo Inspirado Black Price: $6.00 - 8.00 Size: 5 x 50 Appearance/Color: Dark espresso slight toothy wrapper with visible veins and seams. Smoking Time: 1-1/2 hrs Wrapper: Connecticut Broadleaf Binder: Ecuadorian Sumatra Filler: Nicaraguan On the Nose: Barn, hay, cedar. Cold Draw/Test: Musty barn, hay. Draw is loose with a little resistance. First Light Up: White pepper, wood notes, slight mocha. 1/3: Coffee, cedar, chocolate and just a whisper of pepper on the retrohale. The flavor is light with the body falling into the medium range. Also has a good burn & draw with a nice white ash. 2/3: Medium coffee, mocha, slight leather, sweetness from the wrapper and pepper on the retrohale. Flavor is medium as well as the body. Still has a good burn & draw with a nice white ash. 3/3: Light espresso, earth notes, bitter cocoa, slight sweetness and spice on the retrohale. Flavor is still in the medium range as well as the body. Also still has a good burn & draw with a nice white ash. Notes: Capped cracked when cut,but was able to fix. Nice aroma from the smoke. Good burn & draw from start to finish with no touch upโ€™s required. Macanudo list this cigar as full bodied, but I found it to be medium body and medium/full by the final 3rd at best. My experience with this cigar was ok. I didnโ€™t like it nor dislike it. You could smoke this cigar anytime of the day and enjoy it.

This cigar is really good. Very dark wrapper, heavy cigar with a moist solid feel to it. Iโ€™ve noticed the 5x50 taste slightly different than the 5x54. The 54 has more black pepper and the 50 is a strait up cinnamon stick. Iโ€™ve smoke 5 of these and they all needed a tunnel tool because the draw is tight and the smoke output is decreased which does get better half way through. The pepper retro hale lingers in your nostrils. It reminds me of eating really fresh sushi with wasabi. The final third has increased nicotine levels. I like stronger cigars, so Iโ€™ve never been much into Macanudo, but this one is now in my favorites list, Iโ€™m keeping some in my humidor at all times now. Pretty even burn but did need a couple touch ups in the first third. Thereโ€™s also a slight chocolate in some of the puffs.

I've smoked Macanudos for years, but this was my first time trying this particular cigar. I didn't care much for this one due to the full bodied flavor, but if you like full bodied cigars, it's definitely worth picking one up and giving it a whirl. If you tend to like lighter cigars, I'd look at different Macanudos that might be more to your liking.

Very tasty from light up. Good even burn. Got some pepper notes in the 2nd third. Love the taste of this dark wrapper. Very smooth finish. Great smoke time and below $6... total winner!

By far my favorite cigar. A subtle but sweet caramel flavor and I swear I get coffee flavor. Blends perfect with a cup of black, dark roast columbian coffee. And a big thanks to Tim for the great customer service! Highly recommend these.
