Summary

This cigar exists because of one guy with a very specific complaint. A customer named Digger ran into Litto Gomez at a cigar shop and told him the DL700 was one of the best cigars he'd ever smoked. Then he told him it needed to be two inches longer. Most cigar makers would have smiled and moved on. Litto went back to Tabacalera La Flor in Santiago and made the man a custom box.

That box eventually became a regular production vitola, and now the Digger Maduro is one of the most singular smokes in the entire LFD lineup. At 8.5x60, this is a two-hour commitment built around double ligero Dominican filler from La Canela wrapped in a dark, oily Ecuadorian Sumatra Maduro that delivers espresso, dark chocolate, black pepper, leather, earth, and a long resonant finish that keeps developing well past the halfway point.
