Cigar Aficionado gave the Ferio Tego Timeless Supreme a 95 and called it the number ten cigar of 2025. That’s the kind of score that gets attention, and the Timeless Supreme has been getting attention since Michael Herklots first introduced it under the Nat Sherman banner back in 2012 as the Timeless Nicaraguan. Herklots and Brendon Scott brought it with them when they founded Ferio Tego in 2021, and it has only gotten better since. Handcrafted at the Plasencia family’s factory in Nicaragua, this is a full Nicaraguan puro, wrapper to foot, box-pressed into a sharp 6×50 toro that looks as serious as it smokes.
The Plasencia family has been growing and rolling Nicaraguan tobacco for six generations, and every bit of that experience shows up in the construction and the burn. Cigar Aficionado described it as strong, resonant, and memorable, with toffee, cocoa powder, toasty marshmallow, and a big nutty finish. That tracks perfectly. This is a full-bodied cigar that earns every bit of its strength with flavor to match. Around twelve bucks a stick for a 95-rated Nicaraguan puro. If you haven’t smoked one yet, that’s an oversight worth correcting today.
