From Foundationcigarcompany.com, “Master blender, Nicholas Melillo, has been working with choice farmers in the Connecticut River Valley since 2014 to develop the Havana Seed CT #142 wrapper. The seed is extremely rare and unlike any other tobacco in the world. Due to the incredible amount of oil from the plant, it takes 3yrs to undergo the fermentation process. The results make for a delicious medium to full-bodied blend with hints of cedar, spice, rich earthiness and natural sweetness. “

This was my first experience with this particular cigar. After watching Tim’s review of it though I knew I had to give it a try. For having a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper I found this to be an amazingly easy cigar to smoke. Usually such a wrapper indicates a much stronger flavor. Now thats not to say it doesn’t pack plenty of flavor, it definitely does. On lightup I got notes of pepper, dark chocolate and light coffee. Even some creaminess in there. The burn stayed more or less even but Im always touching up my cigars. Even still, In didn’t need to touch this one up much. The cigar didn’t put out as much smoke in the first 3rd as I would’ve liked but that definitely changed in the 2nd third and it stayed consistent through the end. I found the ash stayed long and strong in the first 3rd but in 2nd and final 3rd it fell off frequently. However, Im in El Paso and we were having some light winds so Im not prepared to knock this stick for it yet. Still, even with the wind smoking time was 1 hour 27 minutes. Not bad at all. The Tabernacle is made by the same guy who originally designed the Liga Privada No 9 and T52 and it definitely shows. This cigar is, in my opinion, every bit as good as either of those if a little different. Highly recommended for those who like blends like that but want to try something new.

This was a really good cigar I could pickup the earthy notes and the natural sweetness. The draw was good and it had a nice even burn. I would order this again.
