This is indeed a cigar for the connoisseur, but it is not so strong that it will overpower the newer smoker. Punch Gran Puro burst onto the scene as one of the first Honduran puros and has since kept cigar lovers coming back for more of its big, round, satisfying taste and intriguing hints of sweet and spicy flavors. This stand-out puro is made solely with proprietary tobacco that is hand-selected from the Honduran San Agustín Valley. Pure Honduran leaf of the Gran Puro Santa Rita will tantalize your taste buds. The popular Rothschild sized stogy is a rich earthy and peppery treat. Plan to bring a few along when spending the evening with good friends.

One of my favorite cigars! Burn and draw are great and the taste is fantastic.

just smoked it today after sitting it a while for it to hit that 68% ish RH using CigarMedics from here. it gave me a creamy-peppery taste on my tongue (with mouthful load of smoke output) but had a little dull flavor (like thick water vapor, no vivid note) which wasnt so bad because the cigar still had a nice earthy aroma.
construction wise, maybe like 4 out of 5. little wavy burn. had to touch up once, but for the rest it corrected itself. draw was wide open and easy. i used traditional cutter but for who might wanna try this later i recommend to use a cigar-punch. its that open.
overall, because i understand that this cigar’s taste (dominantly smooth pepper and earth but no sweetness) might not be in my range so i wont blame the flavor. i just like something creamy + vivid sweet flavor so.. but it was a nice attempt on learning what a pure honduran tobacco taste like.
+ it had a different cigar band. it was the orange color saying Punch Gran Puro. idk why but it didnt matter much for me 🙂
