Nasser The Goat by AJ Fernandez Toro (6×52)

A rich, medium-full cigar with notes of dark chocolate, espresso, cedar, roasted nuts, and subtle sweetness. Smooth and flavorful with excellent construction and a balanced profile. The AJ Fernandez craftsmanship really shines, delivering a bold yet refined smoke with great depth and complexity.

Mexican San Andres can be a hit and miss wrapper for more. Sometimes I can get a nice mix of dark chocolate, oak, black coffee, some slight char, and subtle raisin sweetness along with a tartness attached. Other times it comes off as straight charred wood, like a burning ember from a campfire. Unfortunately for me I got more of the latter with this smoke. I know everyone raves about this smoke, and I might revisit this stick, but it was too heavy and tasted like fire to me. It’s strong, no doubt, but I need some complex flavors to go along with that. I got a bit of cherry, and some dark cocoa midway through, but it was minimal. I found pepper on the retrohale, and far too much of it for my blood. A little cinnamon along with that— which I like, but it too was so faint. I love AJ, but The Goat did not live up to the hype for me. Like I said, I might revisit this cigar. Hey, I’m not against coming back and stating I was wrong if I have a different experience. This one was three stars for me, as it burned well and wasn’t a terrible cigar. It just wasn’t for my particular taste buds. At least at that time. But hey, you’ve got to give new things a try to find out if they work for the profiles you enjoy.

Can't believe I'm saying this..... The first AJ I wasn't wowed by. Maybe they were just going for a straight tobacco with a heavy pepper retrohale. Very uneven burn. Had to touch it up about 4 times. Would I smoke this again? Yes. Would I buy this again? Not for $16. Please don't let my review stop you from trying. Maybe I just got a "dull" one.

Got this stick in honor of a friend of mine who loves the AJ line. Hoping to enjoy this and maybe get him a stick to enjoy as well.

Great cigar from A.J. never heard of it until I saw it on Cigars Daily, it's a very nice smoke and very enjoyable, it costs a little more than typical A.J.'s but it's well worth it,

Excellent cigar with notes of rich, aged tobacco and a noticeable sweetness which I assume comes from the maduro wrapper. Construction/draw are perfect and lasts approximately 1 and 1/4 hours.
