Summary

The Ghost Connecticut is a mild-bodied blend, unlike the original Ghost. For Ghost Connecticut, the original Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper leaf has been swapped to a silky-smooth Connecticut Shade specimen. Underneath, a carefully selected Mexican binder encases U.S., Dominican, and Nicaraguan long-fillers to create a Mild-bodied blend thatโ€™s ultra-smooth and brimming with exquisite flavor.

I enjoyed this shade cigar. No reasl transitions, but a smooth mild flavor profile. Good construction.

I haven't really smoked any Gurkhas since the late 2000's other than a few of the cellar reserves. I went into this with an open mind and there was a sale. I decided to try a box. I really wanted to like these! Here's what I found. Flavor not only varies from stick to stick, it isn't a great flavor. I get an underlying cardboard box flavor, which is one of the few consistent notes. Very mild, no spice except for one stick. Construction seemed okay, but I did experience burn issues and frequent re-lights. They nailed the draw on all the sticks, that was perfect. I did not enjoy smoking these. Price is nice but there is much better out there in the same window. I know there are a lot of different feelings about Gurkha as a brand, I don't care about any of that. They make killer boxes (or used to anyway), this one is in cardboard, but understandable. I would not recommend these, but if you want to try them, just get a few to see what you think first.
