Gran Habano Persian King Rajah Maduro (6X50)

This cigar started out sweet and light and quickly turned to a light chocolate with a floral note. It does have a tight draw and the smoke output is okay. Wavy burn line. Woodsy sweet. Tobacco aftertaste. Nice wrapper, oily dark brown with a sheen to it. Very firm cigar. Medium light body. Sweet wrapper. Light roasted coffee. The retro hale is smooth with a vanilla essence. Sorta like an espresso.

Did not enjoy. The burn was uneven, the flavors were just not there. There wasn’t really any transition other than from th foot wrapper and even that wasn’t much. Notes of hay/grass, wood, some earthiness and a strange zinc mineral taste through out as well as bitter mustiness. If anyone has ever eaten a lot of David’s sunflower seeds and you accidentally get that nasty bitter stem on a handful that was almost the aftertaste I had throughout this stick. I smoked this 10 days after my order and rested it for those 10 days at 69% humidity/70 degrees •f aging it longer may help this stick or maybe I just got a bad one. Overall presentation was good. Well rolled, nice wrapper with the pigtailed Connecticut foot wrapper.

Starts off amazing. But once the final 3rd hit all the flavors totally left and with about an inch and a half left it got alittle bitter. The burn was great and the draw was spot on. I will buy again though because overall i had a good smoking experience.

This stick wasn't for me, I did not like how tight the construction was, which gave it a bad draw, which gave it bad flavor. In my opinion.

Newer to cigars but I’ve been trying a wide range of blends at a variety of price points and I have found I really like maduros generally. This one wasn’t for me. I found the profile to be super dry leather, dusty, and bitter. Not much chocolate or sweetness to speak of. It was smooth enough but All in all had a pretty considerable acrid note that I didn’t care for. Considered putting it down at the half way mark but pushed through to see if I could uncover a gem. Unfortunately, it was consistent throughout. Some people say this punches above its $6 price point, but when you consider what you can get for $9-10 (Dunbarton Mi Querida, Foundation, Crowned Heads, Southern Draw) this stick just cant compete in my opinion.

I took this, the United Maduro, and the Umbagog from Dunbarton on vacation to try out some new mid-range sticks. For me this stick edged out the others. The entire experience was, while not overwhelming, of value that was higher than this sticks price point. I was very impressed and will be buying more.

This was a very good stick! Pretty rich and flavorful without being overpowering. Don't let the price fool you, this does not taste like a $6 cigar to me, it tastes more like a $9 or $10 cigar
