CAO has a habit for crafting exotic blends with tobaccos from all over the world. This time they’re at it with leafs from the Olancho San Agustin crop. This combination of Nicaraguan & Honduran tobaccos landed this blend on Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2011.

Its wrapper, from the 2008 Olancho, San Agustín crop, was grown with the perfect amount of sun and rain, giving it a rich, earthy flavor−one that’s perfectly complemented by its Nicaraguan and Honduran blend and hearty Connecticut Broadleaf binder. Cigar Journal named OSA Sol one of its “Top 25 Premium Cigars of 2011” and awarded the brand with Cigar Journal Trophies in 2012 and 2013. Pilon is a carefully layered stack of tobacco leaves that helps ferment the tobacco to maximize the flavor and color of the leaves. This stick was great not as full of flavor as i expected but over all a great smoke. I did not get any of those chocolate notes everyone talks about but i did get an eathy sort of cedar taste once in a while it was a blink-and-you-miss-it sort of moment.
The nicotine was a bit higher than i would like at this stage in my journey but all in all i think all things considered this is not a bad smoke
