The concept behind the Aladino Vintage Selection is simple and a little obsessive, which means Julio Eiroa was absolutely behind it. The blend is built to recreate what the Eiroa family considers the golden era of Cuban cigars: Habano wrappers over Corojo fillers, the combination that defined the best smokes coming out of Havana in the late 1940s and 1950s before everything changed. Every leaf in this cigar, wrapper, binder, and filler, comes from JRE’s own Finca Corojo farms outside Danlí, Honduras.
Rolled and then aged four to five years before release, the tobaccos in this 6×50 have had time to fully marry in a way that most cigars simply never get. Cedar, toasted nuts, creamy coffee, earth, and a natural sweetness that builds through the second third into a finish that stays with you. Medium body, flawless construction, and a price point that makes absolutely no sense given what’s in the box. This is one of the great values in Honduran tobacco.
