Before Litto Gomez was one of the most respected cigar makers alive, he ran a jewelry shop in Miami’s North Beach neighborhood. He knows gold. He knows what it means for something to be worth more than everything around it on the shelf. That backstory is exactly why the Oro line is named what it is, and exactly why it delivers what it delivers. The blend starts with the Coronado as its foundation, then Litto pushed it further by pulling wrapper leaf from the higher primings of his Nicaraguan Habano plants at La Canela. Higher on the stalk means more sunlight, more oils, more flavor, more strength.
Paired with Dominican binder and filler grown on that same legendary farm, this 6×54 Toro opens with a spicy punch that settles quickly into coffee, cedar, natural sweetness, and a long, complex finish with a subtle floral note on the retrohale that LFD fans know well. Each cigar comes packaged in a gold aluminum tube, five to a box. Medium-full body, unmistakable character. This is what Litto Gomez considers one step above his best work.
