Diesel Whiskey Row Founder’s Collection Nevallier (6×52)

Most barrel-aged cigars age the binder. Diesel and Rabbit Hole Distilling decided to do something different with the Nevallier — they aged the filler. The Nicaraguan and Dominican Republic tobaccos at the core of this 6×52 Toro were steeped in Rabbit Hole Whiskey barrels built from wood sourced from two legendary French forests: the Nevers and the Allier. That’s where the name comes from, and that’s where the flavor story starts. French oak brings a completely different character than American oak — more subtle, more aromatic, with an elegance that doesn’t bulldoze the tobacco underneath it.

The result is Diesel’s most premium Founder’s Collection release to date: an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and those beautifully conditioned barrel-aged fillers, rolled at the AJ Fernandez factory in Estelí into a medium-full Toro that opens with warm cedar, leather, espresso, dried fruit, and a whiskey sweetness that threads through the smoke without ever turning the cigar into a novelty. This is a serious cigar with a serious story. The horses are running. Light one up.
