The name Sin Comprimiso translates to, “No Compromise”. This blend exemplifies Steve Saka’s careful attention to detail and not cutting corners. Saka is no amateur for when it comes to mastering blending. He is an original blender of the world famous Liga Privada. The Sin Compromiso line is composed of dark brown Mexican San Andrés wrapper. Next level of tabacco is a hybrid of Ecuadorean and Nicaragua fillers.

I rate this cigar at 91. In my opinion it did not live up to the hype and price at $18.75 a stick.
The Sin Compromiso Seleccion No. 5 Parejo is a medium strength Toro exquisitely crafted by Steve Saka, master blender and owner of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust. Handmade by Joya de Nicaragua, the Sin Compromiso Seleccion sports a Mexican San Andres Colorado wrapper that is expertly draped over an Ecuadorian Habano binder, which houses the Nicaraguan filler to create a medium to full-bodied smoke. The Sin Compromiso Seleccion’s flavor profile will entice your palate with notes of cocoa, espresso, and caramel.

STRENGTH Medium-Full
FIRST THIRD
The start is raw peppercorn. As the profile begins, it’s very earthy with mineral notes. Despite the dominating earthiness there are also background elements of cold chocolate, cocoa, caramel, espresso, heavy cream, and vanilla on the finish. Medium in all respects (strength, flavor, body). Creamy smoke texture. Rich white ash and smoke.
SECOND THIRD
Still dominated by earth and mineral. Other hints of medium-roast coffee, cedar, mahogany, fresh pine and a vanilla-infused chocolate. Pepper increased this third but fades at the end. I get sweetness and salt too. Medium-full flavor, smoke and body this third. Creamy smoke texture with perfect flaky burn thus far. Beautiful white smoke pours out both ends of the rich and dark Mexican San 9 wrapper. Sweetness from wrapper on the lips.
FINAL THIRD
More of the same with hints of sweet fruits. Earth, cocoa and leather lead the way. Burn wavy but self corrected. Pepper turns into spice on the retrohale. Additional notes are of wet concrete and sour milk on the retrohale to finish. Hints of gingerbread, as the flavors darkened nearing the cigar’s end. Finish was full strength with some bitterness. Overall medium full-body smoke with creamy texture. Medium-full strength. Flavors remain primarily in earthiness, cocoa, wood, leather, spice and sweetness from the wrapper. No construction issues. Good cigar but pricey.
