I love rough rider sweets, and the maduro is no different. It is smooth like the connecticut version, but a little more bold and dark. Some cinnamon notes on the retrohale. I saw that they may come out with a candela version. That would be amazing. Good cigar if you like em sweet, which I do.

Rough Rider Connecticuts are one of my favorite sweets. These are very similar but they’re a little more rich/bold in flavor. I definitely get notes of chocolate with some pepper on the retrohale. The wrapper has some tooth to it. I recommend these for anyone looking for a sweet tipped maduro. The construction on these is just about perfect.

This cigar has a dipped cap that is very noticeably sweet. Really cool looking band. The “Cut and a light” kicked off with a mouth full of the sweetness from the cap and some dry unharsh hay with a light spice. Seems medium body at this point, with a light nicotine level. Into the second third, the flavor profile brings in some coco, as the cap sweetness fades out somewhat. It holds the ash pretty good, and the draw is fair. The retro hale is woodsy with some cinnamon spice. In the final third, the coco has picked up into a smooth chocolate flavor. The nicotine strength has definitely increased with the body still in the medium range. My smoke time was one hour and fifteen minutes with my score of an 83. The nicotine really kicks at the end, I had to sweeten my coffee I pared it with to counter it.

Great cigars! Right up my alley with a sweet tip, smooth bold flavor, and lots of smoke. CD was running a sale on them and decided to take a chance with buying a bundle of them. Do not regret and love cigars daily!

This has been my regular for almost a year now. Perfect sweet taste on light. Easy going on the first 3rd. Good strength for relaxing and takes the edge off. I’m not a huge taste guy. I can’t get the hints and all just yet. All I can say is it taste good. No aftertaste or harshness. 2nd 3rd kinda gets less sweet. More tobacco than the 1st 3rd. Maintains taste to me to the last 3rd and then the strength picks up and keeps steady to the end. My only complaint is they’re out of stock as I’m writing this and I’m out lol
