Summary

In the Chinese Zodiac, the Horse is a symbol of boldness, passion, adventure, and intensity โ€” and the Fire Horse, which marks 2026, turns all of those qualities up several notches. Rocky Patel has been honoring the Chinese Zodiac with limited annual releases since the Year of the Dragon, and the Year of the Horse is the finest chapter yet. This box-pressed 7x48 Churchill is handcrafted at the Rocky Patel factory in Nicaragua, draped in a dark Mexican San Andrรฉs wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and a carefully selected blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers โ€” the same two-country filler combination Rocky has used to build some of his most celebrated blends. The result is a medium-full Churchill that burns slow and even across a long, evolving smoke, delivering layered notes of sweet spice, earth, espresso, caramel, and white chocolate that build in complexity all the way to a rich, composed finish. Limited to 4,000 cigars for the U.S. market. The Horse runs fast and doesn't wait around โ€” neither will these.

The development and transitioning from flavor to flavor was very good. The combination of zest, earth, cedar were a great pairing that I enjoyed with the coffee and nuttiness rounding out the cigar. Even with all those solid flavors I never got that urge of needing to come back to the cigar for more but still a solid experience. Overall, its a great cigar would good flavor and one I would recommend but it is very pricey and would only be a "special occasion" cigar for myself.
