From the website of Padron Cigars, “The Damaso line of cigars is for those who seek the quality and consistancy of padron in a milder taste profile. The cigar was named in honor of Jose O Padron’s Grandfather Damaso, who was the first Padron to arrive in Cuba from the Canary Islands sometime in the 1800’s. ‘Islenos’, or Canary Islanders, were serious people who kept their word and tended to work in farming. In this tradition, the Damason tended to keep their word. In this tradition, Damaso rented a small piece of land in Pinar del Rio and started growing tobacco, giving the Padron family their start in tobacco.”

Not your average CT, but what would you expect from Padron? This cigar is full of flavor – I get nuts, leather, cedar, and some fruity and black pepper notes. Complex and changing as you smoke it. This is one awesome cigar, not completely full bodied like other Padrons but even if you like those full bodied cigars you’ll like this, and even if you’re a beginner who likes more mild smokes, this is still a very enjoyable cigar that might introduce you to what cigars have to offer that aren’t your standard, run of the mill, cream flavored CT (which are good in their own right, but something like this will show you what else there is to offer)

Great stick! Amazing flavor and thick white clouds throughout. Started out a little peppery but it mellowed into cedar and a little leather. Put a toothpick in the nub and smoked it all the way down. Did not want this great stick to end.
