The Oliva Serie V 135th Anniversary is a striking tribute to one of the most respected families in Nicaraguan cigar making. Released to honor 135 years of Oliva heritage, this limited-edition cigar takes everything that made the Serie V legendary and amplifies it with artful presentation and flawless execution.
Handcrafted in Nicaragua, it features a lustrous, high-priming Ecuadorian Habano Sun Grown wrapper over a blend of aged Nicaraguan binder and fillers grown on the Oliva family’s own farms. The result is a medium-to-full-bodied smoke that delivers depth, strength, and elegance in perfect balance.
Each puff opens with bold notes of espresso, dark cocoa, and leather, followed by undertones of sweet spice, cedar, and roasted nuts. As the cigar develops, a subtle natural sweetness and smooth creaminess round out the experience, making it as complex as it is satisfying.
Presented in Oliva’s distinctive “baton”-shaped format and housed in beautifully finished boxes, the Serie V 135th Anniversary is more than a cigar—it’s a collector’s piece and a testament to the enduring legacy of Nicaraguan craftsmanship. Consistent, powerful, and refined, it’s a smoke worthy of the celebration it represents.

This is my favorite smoke. Hard to pass up when available. Great construction, great burn, very tasty.

This is honestly my favorite Oliva in the V series. Besides the lancero and the Rothschild

Presentation
Wrapper 5/5 – nicely construction, oily, dark
Band 4/4 – Very nice Typical Oliva
Firmness 3/3
Oils 3/3 – Super oily
Smoking Character
Light 5/5 – Coffee and Dark Bitterweet Chocolate on 1st light and draw
Burn 7/10 Due to Club shape ( which may have been part of the reason ) 2 torpedos throughout the Smoke and 2 re-light but not that much of an issue and were small and easily fixed
Draw 8/8 perfect Draw, almost too easy
Flavor
Consistency 9/9 – Great journey of flavors throughout, no boring “same same” here
Flavor Quality 9/9 – Characterized as mild to medium, I find it bold and and super rich. Again coffee and chocolate with some earthy spice and caramel
Smoothness 8/8 – nice oily thickness on the palate with nice retrohale that really brings on the spice / medium smoke
Overall Impression
Quality of Blend 12/12 – Ecuador Habano Sun Grown / Nicaraguan Binder / Nicaraguan Filler
Flavor Progression 8/8 Excellent
Finish 6/6 Wonderful and consistent all the way to the very end
Speed of Burn 4/5 – 2 re-lights and a few torpedo instance on this stick – Total smoke time 2hrs 15 mins
Price: 5/5 $9.00 a stick
TOTAL RATING 96/100
Comparable to me to the 1926 or 1964 Padron, which I thought I would NEVER say

I expected a lot more from this, I love the serie V in general all sizes and the V Melanio but this one was a bit disappointing. I was looking forward to smoke one, I have a box I will definitely give it another go and see there was not enough complexity and the profile was a bit too subtle.
