Summary

Montecristo is celebrating 85 years, and now you can celebrate too with the 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua No. 2! To celebrate the occasion, the folks at Altadis reached out to world renowned blending wizard AJ Fernandez with the goal of creating a blend as a homage to that of original Montecristo cigar. As per typical AJ Fernandez, he created a rich and complex blend that is already receiving accolades across the cigar community. Rated 95 by Cigar Aficionado and ranking in as their #2 stick of 2021, this bold beauty produces vivid flavors of coffee, spice, earth, cinnamon, wood, and natural tobacco sweetness. With a combination like Montecristo and AJ Fernandez, everyone wins!

I have been sitting on this one for a while. Maybe almost a year. Finally lit this puppy up. Wow I havenโ€™t been a huge fan of Monti in the past but those were lighter blends. This one is Maduro and hits on all those dark flavors with refinement. I give it a 92+ and easily pick up again to enjoy with those who know cigars. It isnโ€™t cheep but I would say it at least earns its price.
