An odd stick at first glance, using tobacco leaves instead of cellophane, you will discover a perfectly rolled Honduran blend with a nice variety of seamless and oily wrappers. This tobacco leaf casing actually serves the purpose of ensuring maximum freshness and better aging by allowing the cigars to breathe. The Corojo is an unconventional yet satisfyingly familiar if you’ve enjoyed premium cigars before. Honduran binders and fillers are delicately rolled into a Honduran Corojo wrapper by some of the most skilled rollers in the country. This medium bodied blend by Leaf by Oscar, the Toro Sumatra is a must-try for premium cigar enthusiasts looking for a complex, yet easygoing smoke.

Admittedly, I bought a couple of these because I was intrigued by the packing. It’s actually a great stick in my opinion though. I got a rich, nutty and every so slightly sweet taste that got more bold as I burned through it. I can see myself buying some more of these in the future. I was impressed with how oily the wrapper was. Protecting the cigar with a tobacco leaf seems to be more than just marketing here. I guess even the band is tobacco so you could smoke through that if you wanted to.
