Tonight, I’m capping off my night with the Illusione Rothschildes Maduro, and here’s the report. After a cut and a roast, this Maduro gave up some impressive flavors of wood, molasses, leather, a nice sweetness. It has a pan cake syrup taste. Going into the second third the flavor profile is holding on and being consistent. Very smooth retro hale. Good construction. The strength is light for Maduro. Semi long finish. Holding a nice long ash. Pretty even burn line. I’m getting like a cracker note at times. The flavors did fade in the final third. It’s pretty good for a Maduro. My score came out to an 88.
