Today, I smoked the Don Pepin Garcia original, and here’s the scoop. This cigar smells like chocolate, most of the cigars I’ve ever smoked smelt like barn yard and cow manure, this one smells like a candy bar. Nice band, very artsy. The cut and a light kicked off with some very nice spices, leather, oak, and a little dark chocolate. As I’m getting into it, there’s like this almond flavored retro hale with some spices, it’s very smooth and a bit creamy. It has an oily smoke. Slightly tight draw with a medium amount of smoke. It’s described as full body, but it seems more medium body so far, also medium strength. A long finish. A little salty on top of the sweetness. I am making touch ups to it more than I like. It’s burning a little fast. The ash is a bit dark. It did hold on until I ashed it to remove the first band. The retrohale is so good I’m doing it every draw, just creamy smooth. As I’m finishing up the second third the oak has become more bright and noticeable the chocolate has backed off. It tried to tunnel. I just filled it in with ashes and packed it, back to perfect. This cigar is really nice, very enjoyable. Pretty consistent. A little white pepper in the retrohale here in the final third. It has become more full body. It did have a crooked burn line throughout, but I would purchase this again. I’m giving it a 92 rating.

Great construction and great flavor! Nice white pepper and spice notes combined with a creamy smoke. Even burn and nice draw as well. Can never go wrong with a My Father Cigar!
