The Diesel Desert Walker is a collaboration between AJ Fernandez, Justin Andrews (Diesel), and Tim Swanson (Cigars Daily). The Cigars Daily Edition blend features a well curated marriage of Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and fillers from the farms AJ Fernandez in Nicaragua. This bold cigar produces a perfect marriage of pepper and spice from the Nicaraguan tobaccos, and a bright chocolate and leather sweetness from the Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper.
Description
The Desert Walker Story: Justin Andrews came to visit me for an episode of Cigars Daily LIVE. It was a nice ‘warm’ day in Arizona, and Tim accidentally locked himself and Justin out of the Cigars Daily building before the show. However, the show must go on. So Justin and Tim had no choice but to make a lengthy walk through the Arizona desert to collect a spare key to the building. Afterward, Justin vowed not to visit Cigars Daily ever again. However, Tim’s deep love for the Diesel Boxergrail and Diesel Vintage Maduro sparked up a passion to create a cigar the combines the best qualities of those two blends. After some convincing, Justin agreed to create the Desert Walker… but made Tim promise that he would never have to weather the Arizona desert ever again.

It was worth the wait!! Beautiful oily Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper sers the stage for a deep anice or licorice finish. Second half warmed up brings baking spices. The spice is what wins me over. Excellent blend here! Highly recommend.

This cigar is truly a wonderful stick. It is a full bodied beauty and may be a bit much for some. But for those of you that enjoy a smoke with loads of character it’s a winner! I can’t wait to get another. The construction was perfect and it burned flawlessly.

Wow what a cigar! A little intimidating at first with a peppery tast (which im not huge on) but once you get into it it goes away quickly. It’s complex. A brut of a cigar in the best means possible, if you like a stick that packs a delicious punch. The band paints a spot on picture of a cigar that reminds me of the wild west. Just a great stick and would highly recommend. They did a great job on this one!

I’m a big Diesel fan and this stick is no exception. Amazing flavor and construction with a wide open draw, razor sharp burn line, and that signature diesel pepper and spice. Wish I would’ve picked up a box, and definitely will be in the future. Great job on the beautifully designed band as well. Cigars Daily has been killing it with these Daily editions, and if you haven’t checked this one out, you definitely should!

I think I found my new favorite cigar! Excellent draw and burn and packed with maduro flavor. This smoke is a heavy hitter. Blew my socks off. Listened to a playlist of Ennio Morricone greatest hits while I smoked it to keep with the western theme. Used my new Cigars Daily dual flame lighter with it as well. A definite home run!

Didn’t hate it, but didn’t love it either. Could’ve done without the second third altogether.
Left a lot to be desired.

A very full strength, well-rounded cigar. Starts out a bit peppery and has strong spice in the beginning, which gets less strong as you get through the cigar. I would definitely smoke one again, when I am in the mood for a strong cigar that will be complex and I have the time to give it the attention this stick deserves

Good God it’s about time these came back into stock. Never had one but when I got some. I was impressed and now understand the hype. Now we will see if the second order takes another year to get. Got a box so I am good for now 😉

This cigar delivered a punch of flavor with solid development from start to finish. The coffee and chocolate with a touch of nuttiness were the highlights for me as it started to develop more in the 2nd. Great memorable smoke that I’ll be getting more of. The construction was soild and held a nice long ash with a great burn line. The draw was a little tight for my preference but not tight enough for a drawtool. Overall, I would definitely recommend this cigar which has a nice price point to make this a daily smoke for me
