The artisans at Cohiba are proud to present Cohiba Riviera, an exquisite cigar which enters new territory for the brand. I waited a bit after delivery (about 3 weeks) before lighting this one up because it’s $20 and I wanted a good experience for my money. First thing I noticed off the back, it has a loose draw — a positive in my opinion. It’s slightly harder than just drawing air, but it’s less of a fight than your typical robusto; this positive, if not careful, can burn your tongue, so, beware! The cigar has almost no development of flavor between the first to the final third, which is a bit of a bummer for me. Near the final third, I had a massive run issue — not too uncommon with box-pressed, but it’s something I had to mention. If I had the ability, I’d give it 4.5 stars instead of 5, but I’m rounding down for others’ sake when reading reviews.
