Blackbird Glitch Maduro Robusto (5×50)
$6.30 – $113.39
Blackbird’s Glitch Cigars come from a happy misfortune that occurred on the blending table. When one factory worker accidentally put two different unintended types of leaf into the blend, which delivered an unexpectedly interesting and intricate flavor that has already begun captivating Blackbird fans. Sink your teeth into a mishap mix of Dominican and American tobaccos that offer a balanced and robust profile that was never meant to be… but is.

This stick had it all. Good construction, near perfect burn and lots of flavor. Definitely got the dark chocolate notes. A little spice in the final third. Well worth the price. Blackbird hit it out of the park with this one.

Fantastic cigar. Great flavor. A little peppery and creamy. Good construction. Glitch is 3 for 3.

First off, let’s start on a positive note. The stick does have an amazing flavor to it. But the construction is not good. The stick was practically falling apart. It didn’t burn very even, had to touch up a lot. Which would’ve been fine if the wrapping wasn’t falling off. Granted, this was the first one of these stogies I’ve had, but not a great first impression. So either this stick is mediocre, or I just had some bad luck. Take this with a grain of salt.

Surprised by how good this was, for its price.
Nice vanilla and peppery notes with some earthy/chocolatey notes in the final third.
Burn and construction were perfect.

Enthusiastic couple sharing in the fun:
Overall this was a good cigar with lots of flavor. The construction was solid and a decent even slow burn with only a touch up or two. It held a light grey ash through each third with a slight bloom. We experienced notes of dark chocolate, mild leather and cedar, earth, and a pepper/spice that increased in the final third. For being a “glitch” this really seemed to work out. This is a strong contender to be added to our humidors.
