Ashton Cabinet #6 (5.5×50)
$15.10 – $377.50
A glistening, chestnut-hued Connecticut Shade wrapper cloaks a luscious blend of premium Dominican tobaccos matured for five to seven years. Ashton Cabinet Selection embodies an obsession with aging in a magnificent variety of formats. An ultra-refined profile develops with voluptuous, velvety texture and notes of cashew, almond, white pepper, and coffee bean. Added dimensions of taste are owed to an insistence on waiting for optimal flavors to emerge in every leaf of tobacco during an extended fermentation.

I had a few of these before I purchased a box from CD. Visually she’s a beauty. On my palate, mild + with sweet cedar and cashew. Undertones of cream and baking spice. Retro shows hints of white pepper.

Bought a 5 pack of these cigars and generally they have good reviews across the board, however, I was disappointed, so much so that I didn’t even finish the final third.
I found the flavors somewhat bland and it did not produce the creamy notes that I would have expected from this type of cigar. I prefer my cigars to have a thick creamy smoke texture and this was more wispy right from light up which perhaps put me off the cigar from the outset. The ash was not great, the draw was tight and the burn was average. I have another few of these in my humidor and will let them age a bit before revisiting, where hopefully the experience will be better!
Can’t fault the service of CD though. First class as always.
