The Camp Aladino story starts on the farm. JRE Tobacco launched this limited series specifically for retailers who made the trip to the Eiroa family’s operation outside Danlí, Honduras, a working tobacco farm that Julio Eiroa has spent over six decades building into one of the most respected growing operations in the world. The Gorbusto is the only vitola in the lineup, a squat, densely packed 4.5×60 that smokes for a full hour despite its compact length, and the Corojo wrapper is where the series begins.
Honduran-grown Corojo leaf brings cedar up front, backed by baking spice, toasted almonds, and a lemon-pepper zing on the retrohale that is distinctly JRE. Medium in body, effortless on the draw, and built with the kind of construction that only comes from a family that controls every step from seed to cellophane. Initially farm-exclusive, now available to Cigars Daily Nation. Do not sleep on this one.
