I'm a big fan of the AJF new world lineup and this one is a solid addition. This is my first experience with this wrapper leaf and I enjoyed it. It's got some woodiness, spice, and a kind of bright tang to it that's like a citrus or a pepper (lemon pepper?). This is unique and interesting cigar. There are others in the new world line up I prefer over this one, but I enjoyed this and it was well constructed with good flavor.

This is a great stick. It was a little diffrent as itโ€™s my first stick with this wrapper. Not bad at all. Went out of my comfort area and it paid off.

I rate this cigar at 96. Smoked at 61%. This was one of the easiest, most enjoyable and relaxing cigars I have ever smoked! LENGTH IN INCHES 6.5 RING GAUGE 54 SHAPE Toro WRAPPER Brazilian Mata Fina BINDER Nicaragua FILLER Nicaragua STRENGTH Full COUNTRY OF ORIGIN Nicaragua CIGAR BRAND AJ Fernandez Dias De Gloria A warm earthiness and delicious sweetness highlighted by nutty and leathery notes combine to create a satisfying smoking experience when you light up this medium to full-bodied cigar. Full strength. FIRST THIRD AJ's patented spicy red pepper punch in the nose to start this one off. Quickly settles into strong notes of earth and semi-sweet chocolate. Picking up some faint sweetness from the wrapper. Undertones of black pepper, leather, and roasted pecans. Well into the first third I pick up a very mild note of espresso. The retrohale on the first third provides notes of black pepper and brown sugar. Draw is excellent with a creamy medium full-body smoke texture. Burn is straight with a light-flaky ash. It is a lap asher! Full minus strength. Flavor strength is medium. Great white smoke output. No heat. Clean finish. Liking it so far. SECOND THIRD The second third features strong notes of earth and red pepper. Subtle notes of ginger, semi-sweet chocolate, vanilla, floral, nuts and espresso, along with a very mild note of dry hay. The retrohale is white pepper, brown sugar, and roasted pecans. Medium plus on the flavors with lots of complexity. Draw and burn remain flawless. Medium full-body creamy smoke texture with long clean finish. Excellent smoke output! An easy relaxing smoke. Strength amped up to full. Stay on top of the ash or you will wear it. FINAL THIRD The final third brings back the strong note of black pepper to the palate, along with notes of dark chocolate and espresso. Mild notes of ginger, dark brown sugar, leather and cedar as well. Sweetness from wrapper is gone. The retrohale is roasted pecans and cocoa. The finish is strong with notes of black pepper, leather, semi-sweet chocolate and roasted pecans. Flavor strength backed down to medium. Construction remains flawless. Ash remains light-flaky. Medium full-body smoke with chewy texture. Strength backed off to medium. No heat. Long clean finish. Smooth cigar. I highly recommend adding this cigar into your rotation.
