The JFR Lunatic Hombre Libre Maduro is Aganorsa doing what they do best—leaning into rich Nicaraguan character without sanding off the edges. This 6×54 format gives the maduro wrapper room to work, delivering dark cocoa, roasted coffee, and earthy sweetness right out of the gate, followed by pepper and that signature Aganorsa mineral backbone.
It’s medium–full, but not clumsy. The blend stays balanced, burns cool, and keeps its intensity in check so you can actually enjoy the ride instead of wrestling it. This is a cigar built for regular rotation—bold enough to satisfy, clean enough to come back to. No gimmicks, no drama. Just a solid, flavor-forward maduro that punches exactly where you want it to.

Light up was great with closed foot. Pepper at start but eased quickly. First third gave a strong leathery note, that I very much enjoyed. Burn became uneven and I had to touch up a couple times. On the second third it was trying to go out. Draw became very difficult and burn was even more challenging. Eventually it eased up and began to give off smoke again and burned more evenly. I enjoyed the rest as best I could with another couple of touch ups. I stuck with it and smoked it down to the nub. Spice came back in a pleasant way.
Tim has told us a bad roll happens sometimes. I bought 2 of these and look forward to giving it another try as the flavor was really good when it burned and smoked well.
