From the website of Hoyo De Nicaragua, “Joya Cabinetta is different. It brings out the best of two differents wrappers in one cigar. It was expressly blended with mellower, medium bodied Nicaraguan fillers that deliver a smoother; more refined smoking experience.“

Some people like chocolate, others like vanilla… but why not have both?! The Cabinetta combines a creamy smooth Connecticut Wrapper with a rugged Nicaraguan Criollo tip that’s sure to give you a thrill ride of flavor. Wasn’t sure what to expect with this cigar but what a ride. Starts out smooth like a usual Connecticut but as soon as you hit that transition line wow. You get hints of leather and wood not mild any longer it is full-bodied. Could possibly be a good cigar for a first timer or someone who has a smoked very many cigars just to get a hint of what a stronger cigar is all about. The only issue I had with this cigar isn’t wanted to burn a little walkie on me and had to relight twice.

What a great cigar. I’m a med to full flavor guy but I can enjoy a meatier Connecticut first thing in the morning. This is my new morning cigar. Just finished the single I bought to try and had to buy a box when I finished. Smooth and tasty for 2/3 of it then it transitioned into a yummy medium delight. I still don’t have flavor notes down but out of everyone you don’t know I’m the most trustworthy guy you don’t know.

I wasn’t expecting this to be so good at the price point. I get notes of wood, nuts, vanilla or maybe a bit of Italian espresso crema until the final third. The label is covering the wrapper transition that starts near the cap side. The final third is spicey but medium strenght, with notes of leather, chocolate, and Italian espresso.
This stick is very smooth with a pleasant medium after taste. I think I will keep these stocked for myself and to share with people willing to try cigars. The final 3rd is what will transition people to enjoy the best of both worlds. 100% box worthy.

I really enjoy the dual-wrapper leaf that Drew Estates did with this one. You get the mouth-taste of a maduro, with the smoke taste of a Connecticut. The burn was even until the wrapper leaf transition, however, which is why I’m docking a star. For $8.65 a stick, it’s a good deal.
