Steve Saka sat down one day and asked himself a single question: what if I went whole hog crazy and did everything to the Nth degree? The Unicorn concept was born from that question, and the Sobremesa Brûlée Blue Unicorn is one of its most extraordinary expressions. “Sobremesa” is Spanish for the tradition of lingering at the table long after the meal is done, talking, laughing, and enjoying the company of people you love. Saka built his entire brand around that concept and the Brûlée Blue Unicorn is where that philosophy reaches its absolute ceiling.

The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade selected from the top 2% of leaves after an obsessive culling process. The binder is a Matacapan Negro de Temporal from Mexico. Inside, four different Nicaraguan long-leaf fillers aged a minimum of one year post-roll are bunched using techniques that required two of the best torcedores in Nicaragua working in tandem on a labor-intensive 6.25×60 Diadema vitola with a signature pigtail cap. Each finished cigar goes into its own individual wooden coffin. Only 200 boxes of 10 were made. Cream, cedar, caramel, café, baking spice, and a long, naturally sweet finish that earns every penny of the $100 price tag. This is what “going whole hog crazy” looks like when a master blender does it right.
