La Flor Dominicana Colorado Oscuro No. 5 (5.75×60)

The Colorado Oscuro is the cigar in the LFD portfolio that makes people stop and look twice at the wrapper. Ecuadorian Sumatra Ligero leaf, naturally darkened and pulled from the top of the plant where the most direct sunlight concentrates oils into the leaf, producing a wrapper so visibly oily and richly colored that the cold draw alone tells you something serious is inside. Litto Gomez built this blend around a detail that almost nobody else bothers with: Sumatra on both the wrapper and the binder. Dominican Sumatra binder underneath that Ecuadorian Ligero top leaf, with Dominican and Nicaraguan filler holding the whole construction together.

In this 5.75×60 Gordo, the result is a full-body smoke that opens with floral notes and mocha sweetness, then develops through espresso, leather, earth, and a long savory finish that builds steadily without ever turning harsh. The Ligero wrapper is the engine, and at a 60 ring gauge it has all the room it needs. Released in small batches a few times a year. Fifty to a box when it lands.
