La Flor Dominicana Ligero Natural L500 (5.75×60)

There is a version of this cigar that Litto Gomez darkened into Oscuro territory and a version he left alone. This is the one he left alone. The Natural L500 is the purest expression of what the Ligero Cabinet blend actually is underneath the wrapper manipulation: Ecuadorian Sumatra sun grown leaf in its most honest form, wrapped around Dominican binder and filler from La Canela, the farm Litto built from the ground up in Santiago specifically to control every variable that matters. What the Natural gives you that the Oscuro does not is clarity.

The pepper is still there, the leather is still there, the full-body ligero punch is absolutely still there, but now cedar, toasted nuts, and a bright natural sweetness come through with a crispness that a darker wrapper tends to absorb. This 5.75×60 burns slow and draws beautifully, giving you a long, evolving smoke that rewards patience. Twenty-four to a box. One of the great full-bodied Dominican cigars ever made, and it rarely gets the credit it deserves.
