Litto Gomez built his reputation on big, ligero-loaded, full-throttle Dominican bombs. So when the original Suave came out in 1994 as LFD’s first-ever release, a genuinely mild, delicate smoke, it was almost a different brand entirely. For 2025, Litto and Tony Gomez went back and asked a simple question: if we built that cigar today with everything we know now, what would it be? The answer is the reimagined Suave Natural. Gone is the old Connecticut-seed wrapper.
In its place is an Ecuadorian Corojo leaf over a Mexican San Andrés binder and fillers grown on Gomez’s own La Canela farm in the Dominican Republic, all rolled at Tabacalera La Flor S.A. The result in this 6×54 Máximo is mild-medium in strength but anything but mild in flavor. Halfwheel called it a fantastic cigar and gave it a 92. Cream, cedar, campfire smokiness, toasted nuts, and a thread of spice that builds beautifully toward the finish. This is LFD with the volume dialed back and the craftsmanship dialed all the way up.
