The story of the Ferio Tego Timeless Prestige starts in 2011, when Michael Herklots arrived at a struggling Nat Sherman with a mandate to rebuild. He spent that year gathering feedback from retailers on test blends, and in January 2012 one of those blends became the Timeless Dominican. It landed on Cigar Coop’s Top 25 countdown that same year, played a key role in rebuilding Nat Sherman’s retail distribution, and set the tone for everything Herklots would build over the next decade. When Nat Sherman folded in 2020, Herklots and Brendon Scott brought it with them into Ferio Tego, renamed it the Timeless Prestige, and kept on making it at Quesada’s TABADEX factory in the Dominican Republic exactly as it had always been made.
Cigar Aficionado agreed with that decision and handed it a 92. The blend is a six-tobacco construction across three countries: a Honduran wrapper over a Dominican binder and a core of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers that delivers leather, earth, white pepper, coffee, chocolate, and cedar in a medium-full package that stays balanced and refined from start to finish. In the 6×50 Toro you get a full hour of that profile with room to breathe and develop. This is the cigar that rebuilt a brand once and earned a permanent spot in the Ferio Tego lineup on merit alone.
