Thirty years is a long time to get things right, and the Alec Bradley Thirty Years Toro is the result of every lesson the Rubin family has learned since Alan Rubin walked away from the fastener business and into the cigar world in 1996. This anniversary release was a true family affair, with founder Alan Rubin coming out of retirement to join sons Alec and Bradley in selecting the final blend, a decision all three landed on together.
Made at the Raíces Cubanas factory in Honduras, the Toro wraps a dual-binder construction of Honduran Jamastran and Nicaraguan Jalapa leaves around a Honduran and Nicaraguan filler, all under a Honduran Trojes wrapper that ties the whole story together. The result is a medium-plus smoke with notes of leather, pepper, and cinnamon with a toasty finish. Three decades of craft. One cigar to show for it.
