Wow. Spicy with a nice sweetness. Earthy and flavorful. Great construction. Wish I got more than two!

Ton of flavor from the Mexican San andres wrapper! Probably going to purchase a box this is a must try

Loving this blend! First off, as usual for Santana, impeccable construction. Long burn with that spice that I like! Loving the Dominican Olor filler. Finish is nutty, earthy, and coffee. Not quite as full bodied as the Crow, but damn what a new blend! I recommend!

I really don’t smoke toro size cigars much but I smokes this stick right to the nub. Tons of flavour through the whole smoke, I really hope this becomes a yearly release or a regular edition. I am vary glad I got a box.

Absolutely amazing cigar nice black pepper on tht retro not too punchy followed by nice leather note followed by dark chocolate. I get a subtle hint of coffee on the retro creamy smoke texture as well as a beautiful sweetness throughout this cigar if you havnt tried this cigar yet you have to before they are all gone blackbird hit a homerun with this one

It’s okay. I bought a box of 14. Smoked two so far. Both of them cracked the wrapper almost completely. I mean the entire wrapper length ways down the cigar. Flavor is decent, not the best 10 dollar cigar I’ve had. Sorry to say I feel disappointed. I’ll let them rest in my humidor for a long time before I try another one.

One of my favorite cigars right now. Already went through one box, I am on my second box halfway through already. I get slight leather, chocolate, coffee.

Super disappointed in this cigar. Was excited to try these. Would not stay lit after less than 1/3 through. Constantly re-lighting and touch up. The robusta is even worse. Rolled so tight you couldn’t hardly get a draw on it, with some disgusting brown residue coming out the end. Glad I only got the 5 pack rather than a whole box.

Brian, it sounds like you should get some replacements there brother. We’re so proud of the Cactus Wren, and we know there’s a bit of a margin of error for a handmade product like premium cigars. I’m going to follow up with Customer Service to work on getting a few more sent for you sir. – Tim

This cigar has it all!
Spice, sweetness, earthy, coffee notes. All of the things that I look for in a cigar.
Had one in a sampler and I liked it so much that I ordered 19 more. First ordered a 5 pack and by the next day, I talked myself into a box of 14. (My first box purchase ever.)
Hoping that Blackbird turns these into a permanent run, one day!

I was so disappointed with this one. I was so excited to try it. The draw was almost impossible and I could not smoke it at all. It also had that tar ooze out of the cut once I started smoking. I did buy two so I am hoping it was a fluke with this stick. I have had other Blackbirds and they were nice cigars..

Man, that’s just not right. I’m going to check in with Customers Serivce here at the shop to have them send you a replacement. We’re proud of the Cactus Wren, and I want everyone to have the same amazing experience I had when I tried it. That tar ooze stuff is the worst!

I left a bad review my first try. InSmokable stick. Tim and his team take these reviews seriously and responded by sending me another to try. Good cigar a few puffs in. Took a bit to get going but enjoyed it once she found her groove.
Tim, you’re a gentleman and love doing business with your company!

Bought a box when they first came out and held on to them for 6 months before trying. The flavors were amazing for the short time the cigar would burn well enough to get any real flavor. After 8 cigars, (I keep going back hoping to get a good one from the box), my experience has been consistent. Good for about the first 3/4 inch, then the burn just starts to go to crap. It gets worse as it burns and the best one I’ve had so far I still only smoked half way before throwing it out. I want to love these. The little bit of good I get out of them is really good. Maybe the best flavor I’ve ever had in a cigar. But there are some serious construction issues that need to be sorted out.
