As the new becomes old, the old gives birth to the new. And so it is with West Tampa’s Circle of Life. This blend features the legacy cigar making skill of Ernesto Perez Carrillo in collaboration with the fresh motivation behind Rick Rodriguez and West Tampa Cigars. The combined efforts of these two monumental cigar makers has produced one of the most exciting new blends of 2025. These cigars are carefully rolled in the Perez Carrillo factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic. The blend features a complex blend of tobaccos from Ecuador, Nicaragua, and The Dominican Republic. Very Peppery and the burn was WAY OFF, it did this crazy split down the middle of the Cigar. Its almost like it had two different tobacco leafs in it and they just split as it burned. I have heard the term “Dragon Head” or “Parting of the Seas” Either way this was an OK Cigar but I would not go out of my way to try again.

Very good cigar. Will improve with a little more rest! Very good construction. Perfect draw and really good, even burn. The flavors are there, just not as robust and clean tasting as other cigars. Will happily finish my 5 pack and I’m sure it’ll get better with time!

Excellent construction but this stick is nothing like the other flavor bombs by West Tampa. If you are expecting lots of flavor and complexity, this is not it. I honestly don’t understand why this is a West Tampa cigar. After trying 2 cigars at 69% humidity, I thought that maybe if I rest the others in 62% humidity for a couple months, then maybe I could pull the subtle flavors forward. Nope! These are just bland.
