The newest expression in United Cigars’ flagship lineup, the Connecticut rounds out a trio of blends — alongside the Sungrown and Maduro — all rolled at Tabacalera Magia Cubana in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and all built on the same foundation of carefully selected Dominican Broadleaf, Seco, and Ligero tobaccos. What sets the Connecticut apart is the wrapper: an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade leaf taken from the higher primings of the plant, where more sunlight and maturity concentrate the oils and deliver a creamier, more nuanced character than your typical Connecticut shade.

The result in this 6×54 Toro is a smooth, medium-bodied smoke that opens with cappuccino and sweet hay, then builds gently into roasted nuts and subtle white pepper as the cigar develops. The Dominican Broadleaf filler adds body and depth that keep the profile from going flat, giving this Connecticut real backbone underneath all that refinement.
