This is the original Anthony Serino blend, the Serino Royale XX Maduro. Scoring high marks from critics and enthusiasts alike, this blend received a 91 rating by Cigar Aficionado. The blend is thick and bold, but it is wonderfully balanced with notes of leather, black cherry, and cocoa throughout. Today, I’m smoking the Serino Royal XX Maduro 20th anniversary cigar, and it’s good. Right off the light there’s a punchy peppery retro hale, which will smooth out. There’s almond, molasses, leather and as your wafting the smoke there’s a cherry flavor in the back of the throat. There’s a dark sweetness in the aftertaste. Pristine ash. Very nice royalty bands strapped on this thing. Slightly woodsy like campfire type of smokiness. Medium smoothness to its essence. In the second, the leather has become refined. Darker cherry. A sweet liquorie oil. It’s a dark flavor profile but it’s well blended. There’s a really good balance to these flavors. It’s medium to full body. Good draw, good smoke output. The fruity sweet cherry really stands out. White pepper retro now. Upper medium strength. Im smoking this slow because it’s really nice. It had a soft transition. The retro has gained a leathery almond flavor. It’s has a long finish that ends peppery. Full flavor. This cigar is just packed with flavor. Ash holds on for an inch and a half. Good construction. This is one of the better cigars I’ve smoked this year. Definitely box worthy. It could almost be a celebratory stick. It’s more than a $9 experience. I think cigar Aficionados scored this a little low. In the final third cappuccino has come in the flavor profile. There’s a sweet foamy creaminess. The slower you smoke this, the smoother and sweeter it is. It’s surprising how well the flavor profile has held on in the final third. On a few puff it gave up a banana flavor. Overall, this was one for the books, just amazing. I’m scoring it with 95 points.

This is a top shelf stick in my opinion. Tobacco was high quality. Great construction and draw. One of my new favorites to go along with Olmec, Liga Privada, Tabernacle and Bishops Blend.

This cigar is really good. Theres cherry, chocolate, leather and pepper in the 1/3. I’m always impressed with the Serino XX Maduro when I get one. This is one box worthy stick. It has smooth creamy notes and that cherry really stands out. It’s toothy, with a great construction. It’s a heavy, well packed cigar, delivering copious amounts of smoke production. 2/3 I’m picking up mint and coffee after flavors, along with wood and earth. It lists Medio Tiempo leaves in the blend. It’s buttery and spicy at the same time. Just an amazing smoking experience! Highly recommended!
