Rico Barato is a famous historical figure… who we made up. His name means Rich (Rico) Cheap (Barato). He represents the combining of rich flavor with affordable prices. These affordable cuban sandwiches have quickly become popular among budget minded cigar lovers. They come in two wrappers (Connecticut and Maduro), and we couldn’t be more proud to call them a Cigars Daily Exclusive brand.

I absolutely love these little cigarillos. They don’t take very long to smoke so I walk down to the bus stop a little early to pick my son up off the bus and by he arrives or we walk back it’s finished .

Good for a quick smoke and cheap

Really nice flavor for such a thrifty stick! I’ll come back to these to get me through between my more pricey larger ring gauge cigars.

I bought a couple of these a week or so ago and for a cheap and affordable stick the flavor is decent…if you are able to get a proper draw. For me the draw was like trying to suck a thick milk shake through a straw. However I am new to cigars I also think that it might be user error but I always try to be optimistic. I was finally able to get a draw after awhile. it was a tight draw but it had this very earthy almost wood taste to it which is something that I personally like. Also I never had to do any touch ups so that is also a bonus. I recommend this to anyone just starting out on cigars. Plus you can get a buttload of these things at a very affordable cost.

I AM NEW TO CIGARS! As the first sentence says I am new to cigars. I should’ve done more research before buying this one. The Maduro wrapper has a heavy pepper taste, definitely not for my taste YET. If you are looking for a good burning, quick smoke, and pepper taste this is for you!

I bought these to smoke at work but found out quickly that they don’t burn very well, won’t stay lit, tight draw and tunnel. About 1 out of 10 would burn decently and I found myself throwing out a good majority of them because of the issues mentioned above. Keep this in mind if you plan on purchasing.

Jeremy,
That’s no good at all! Sounds like we’ve got an issue with our production run on these. Regardless, we should definitely be setting you up with some replacements to see if we can’t get a better result for you. I’m going to smoke a couple of these this morning to see how they’re doing. and I’ll ask customer service to reach out to you about a replacement. Sorry for the terrible experience man! That’s not what we’re about over here.

These have a very, very tight draw on them and are really hard to keep lit. Very creamy from light up though and that stays with you the entire time. There is a very earthy , nutty flavor to the second third with a little pepper on the retrohale. The pepper gets stronger as the cigar burns down but to over powering. Nice strength balance to it. A bigger ring gauge may help with the draw and ability to get more of the flavor notes.

Gets a 3 because I’m too new to this to appreciate the flavors beyond the med-full body. Maybe I’ll come to like it in the future, but for now it’s a 6/10 for me.

Decrnt flavor and super strong, great for a quick fix.

Lol plz fix my typo I meant to say decent*

Very cool stick looks like a mini size cigar. draw is a little tight but great smoke output and the taste is great and consistent. Hay, spice, leather, soil, pretty straight forward stick. Def gonna buy more

Great little flavorful smokes for the price! Obviously not the most complex flavors, but it scratches that quick smoke itch in between nicer cigars without sacrificing much!
