Many will call me crazy. Out of my mind. A complete idiot. Yet, I have to say… I just don’t get the hype with this one. I’m happy to spend +$15 on a cigar…. Saka’s Unstolen Valor, Padrons, even an Atabey at times. I also LOVE the Alma del Fuego, and their 146. However, this to me seemed a bit sub-par for the price. The construction was unique and excellent, yet the flavor just wasn’t really there for me. There was a minty flavor there in the blend which was certainly unique. However, if I’m spending $18 on a cigar I just expect a bit more.
For me – I’m going with another blend from Plasencia, Padron, Saka, Liga Privada, etc. Ultra-premiums are certainly competitive nowadays, and I just don’t think this stands up to the competition.
That said, I know several who adore this cigar so certainly give it a shot for yourself.

This cigar is a great performer on all levels. Great flavor, nice smoke output, and wonderful construction and presentation. It’s on the “top shelf” for a reason, and while the brand may not be as well known as other “high-end” competitors, it’s every bit as satisfying.

Five star easily, and not because my name is Sixto. Burns evenly, great taste from start to finish, easily my favorite cigar with coffee. I always stock up.
